FIRST BAPTISM IN MEXICO!!!
Olga Lemos
Vargas was baptized in the Ayotla ward this past Saturday, and confirmed
yesterday in sacrament meeting, and I had the marvelous opportunity of
baptizing her. We found her two weeks ago, right after my first meal
with a member here in Ayotla, and she´s been a golden investigator ever
since. It was a little funny because she was afraid of the water, but it
all worked out, and now her family is very excited to learn and join
her. Her husband Pedro, and two of her four daughters, Miriam and Brenda
will enter the waters of baptism the 11 of March.
Oscar
Palma showed up for church yesterday which is Great news because
despite his busy busy schedule, he´ll be ready to be baptized this
Saturday along with Conny Gonzalez, hopefully.
The
work down here is AMAZING, we have lots of investigators, around 6 with
baptismal dates scheduled. Our mission president promised us when we
first got here that if we prayed with real intent, fasted, and doubled
the effort we´ve ever put into anything, we could baptize every week. He was right.
Although
many things come up, and lots of things happen (this work is NOT easy),
I know that the Lord is directing our paths, and helping us to help all
those that we come across. I´m very excited and very grateful to be a
tool in the hands of the Lord.
